A sculptor by profession and a jewelry designer by passion, Bibi van der Velden first presented her eponymous fine jewelry collection in 2006. By taking materials out of their natural context and creating something new and inspirational with them, she is always adding a touch of surprise to her work. Her Scarab Collection - a series of fine jewelry pieces featuring upcycled scarab beetle wings - is featured on this site. Using sustainable materials and creating awareness for a better living environment, Bibi wants to achieve a balance between luxury and sustainability in a way that chimes with the mood of the modern consumer.
